Beat 35: Grogarth – River Fal
SW 929467 – SW 923457 1000m mixed double and single bank, fishing from the left hand bank
A nice section of the lower Fal that has some good pools and runs providing brown trout fishing with the chance of a sea trout from May. There is a good head of brown trout with fish up to 13”. The water tends to colour after a spate so best fished by day for sea trout, being particularly worth a try on a spring tide. The beat fished very consistently. In 2016 over 60 brown trout recorded. Please note: electric fencing is sometimes used to control stock in adjoining fields, please take care when accessing the beat.
