Beat 8: Little Dart – River Taw

SS 691136 – SS 697136 (L. Dart). SS 696135 – SS 698142 (Huntacott)   L. Dart: 600m of right hand single bank. Huntacott Stream: 800m mixed single and double bank

Predominantly brown trout fishing with the best sport often being in April, May and June. Falling water following a spate in August and September could provide the chance of a sea trout or possibly a salmon. Long sections of bedrock in the Little Dart although several good glides and undercut ledges. The Huntacott Stream has a number of good pools which tend to hold the larger trout. Plenty of brownies to 10’’ recorded for 2016.
