Beat 25: St Leonard’s – River Kensey
SX 347847 – SX 352848 1000m of right hand single bank
Trout and grayling fishing with occasional sea trout on the River Kensey at Polson not far from Launceston. This is a lovely small river, best fished with a short rod. Consistently produces trout and grayling although is generally lightly fished. Take a look over the bridge and if the Kensey isn’t too coloured, get in and enjoy some great affordable trouting.
*** The beat is partially bordered by a paintball field. Though rarely in use, please check with the stables on arrival. The lower and upper third of the river is still safe to fish should a paintball game be playing.
PLEASE DO NOT FISH NEXT TO AN ACTIVE GAME FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY. UNPROTCTED, SERIOUS INJURY COULD BE SUSTAINED FROM STRAY PAINTBALLS. ***
Directions & Access:
