WAP Service
WAP is a service that allows users to discover and purchase permission to angle ( the right to fish with rod and line, a prescribed waterbody (“Beat”), for a defined period of time) on a variety of rivers. By using WAP, you accept these terms of use (“Terms of Use”). Please read them carefully. In addition to the Terms of Use, you will also be subject to any other policies, guidelines, terms and agreements posted on, or otherwise made available to you through the WAP Service.
Privacy
WAP will only collect data on customers where there is a clear advantage to the customer to do so. Circumstances in which data collection are acceptable include (1 where the client willingly shares – for example – catch returns. The merits of data collection will be assessed on a case by case basis. We do not store customer credit card details
Secure Hosting
WAP uses cloud hosting from third parties and takes responsibility for ensuring that the hosting is secure..
Sharing information
WAP will not share its customer’s data or information with third parties unless explicitly permitted by the customer.
Copyright
All content included in or made available through WAP, such as text, graphics, logos, button icons, images, digital downloads, is the property of Westcountry Rivers Trust or its content suppliers and protected by United Kingdom copyright laws.
Other Content
Where possible, Fish Pass users may post reviews, comments, photos, and other content; send messages and other communications; and submit suggestions, ideas, comments, questions, or other information. You agree that any content you contribute and any communications you send using means we provide will not be illegal, obscene, threatening, defamatory, invasive of privacy, infringing of intellectual property rights, or otherwise injurious to third parties or objectionable and does not consist of or contain software viruses, political campaigning, commercial solicitation, chain letters, mass mailings, or any form of “spam.” We reserve the right (but not the obligation) to remove or edit such content, but we do not regularly review posted content.
Descriptions
WAP attempts to be as accurate as possible. However, does not warrant that descriptions or content available through WAP is accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free.
Other Business
We offer permission to angle beats owned by other parties. We may also provide links through the WAP to the websites of affiliated companies and certain other businesses. We are a broker of privately owned fishing opportunities and are not responsible for examining or evaluating, any materials we offer from third parties, and we do not warrant the offerings of, any of these businesses or individuals, the content we obtain from them or the content of their websites. You should carefully review their privacy statements and other conditions of use.
WAP Purchase Terms and Conditions
By making a purchase through Fish Pass you agree to be bound by these Fish Pass Purchase Terms and Conditions.
Purchases of WAP Tokens
- The payment gateway requires either a valid Paypal account, or the details of a valid debit or credit card entered into the Paypal Gateway. Paypal terms apply.
Delivery Policy
We endeavor to dispatch all orders, received and paid for by 4pm, the same day. All orders are sent first class. Orders received outside of office hours will be fulfilled when the office re-opens.
Refund / Cancelation Policy
Given the nature of angling passport tokens, we do not generally offer a refund or credit on a purchase of tokens but will assess any request for such on their individual merits. Where a refund is due, funds will be returned via the original method of purchase. Westcountry Rivers Trust must be in possession of the physical tokens before a refund can be completed.

In addition to the Terms of Use, you will also be subject to any other policies, guidelines, terms and agreements posted on, or otherwise made available to you through the Fish Pass Service.
Privacy
Fish Pass app will only collect data on customers where there is a clear advantage to the customer to do so. Circumstances in which data collection are acceptable include (1) where data will be used to provide an improved app with features beneficial to the customer, (2) where the client willingly shares – for example – contact details, so that they can be reached by Fish Pass for the purposes of provision of relevant information. The merits of data collection will be assessed on a case by case basis. We do not store customer credit card details
Fish Pass contains anonymized data regarding crash statistics and app usage, in order to provide a better user experience. No identifying information will be collected.
Data Anonymization
Where it is possible to anonymize data or personal information, without negating the original purpose of the data/information collection, then this will be done within the app, prior to sending data or personal information out of the app.
Encryption
Personal data and personal information will be encrypted using SHA-2 encryption, before it is transferred between an app and its backend.
Secure Hosting
Fish Pass uses cloud hosting from third parties and takes responsibility for ensuring that the hosting is secure. Fish Pass uses SSL & SFTP where possible to keep customer data, information and documentation secure.
Sharing information
Fish Pass will not share its customer’s data or information with third parties unless (a) necessary and (b) explicitly permitted by the customer. Fish Pass will not access the personal data of its
clients’ customers unless it is (a) necessary, (b) explicitly permitted by the client, and (c) explicitly permitted by the customer.
Copyright
All content included in or made available through Fish Pass, such as text, graphics, logos, button icons, images, digital downloads, is the property of Fish Pass or its content suppliers and protected by United Kingdom copyright laws.
License and Access
Subject to your compliance with these Conditions of Use and your payment of any applicable fees, Fish Pass grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, permission to access and angle beats. This license does not include any derivative use of Fish Pass or its contents; any downloading or copying of account information for the benefit of another merchant; or any use of data mining, robots, or similar data gathering and extraction tools.
All rights not expressly granted to you in these Terms of Use are reserved and retained by Fish Pass or it’s other content providers.
You may not misuse Fish Pass. You may use Fish Pass only as permitted by law. The licenses granted by Fish Pass terminate if you do not comply with these Terms of Use.
Your Account
As a registered user of Fish Pass, you must establish an account (“Fish Pass Account”). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Fish Pass Account and for restricting access to your computer(s) or device(s). If you are under 18, you may use Fish Pass, however the involvement of a parent or guardian is necessary to participate in any activity, angling, walking, driving, on a beat. Fish Pass reserves the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, remove or edit content, at its sole discretion.

Termination
Your right to use Fish Pass will automatically terminate if you violate these Terms of Use or any other Terms. In case of such termination, we may terminate your access to the Fish Pass service without notice. Our failure to insist upon or enforce your strict compliance with the Conditions of Use or any other Terms will not constitute a waiver of any of our rights.
Termination of Fish Pass
We also reserve the right to suspend or discontinue Fish Pass or your use of Fish Pass, in whole or in part, at any time with or without notice and without liability to you.
Modification
Please review our Terms. We reserve the right to make changes to Fish Pass, these Terms of Use and any Terms at any time. Your continued use of Fish Pass following any changes will indicate your acceptance of such changes. If you do not agree to a change, you must immediately stop using Fish Pass.
Fish Pass Purchase Terms and Conditions
By making a purchase through Fish Pass you agree to be bound by these Fish Pass Purchase Terms and Conditions.
Purchases of Fish Pass Tokens
- Fish Pass Tokens. Fish Pass is the digital continuation of an Angling Passport Scheme. Tokens are purchased in advance of fishing and used to redeem permission to angle at the beat location. Fish Pass users may acquire digital tokens through the payment gateway in the application or scan the Quick Response (“QR Codes”) printed on authorized, associated paper tokens.
- The payment gateway requires either a valid Paypal account, or the details of a valid debit or credit card entered into the Paypal Gateway. Paypal terms apply.
Additional Software Terms
Use of the Fish Pass Software. You may use Fish Pass Software solely for the purposes of enabling you to use and enjoy the Fish Pass Service as provided, and as permitted by the Terms of Use, these Additional Software Terms and any applicable Terms. You may not use the Fish Pass for any illegal purpose. All software used in the Fish Pass Service is the property of Fish Pass and protected by United Kingdom and international copyright and authors’ rights laws.
Use of Third Party Services. When you use Fish Pass, you may also be using the services of one or more third parties, such as a wireless carrier or a mobile platform provider. Your use of such third-party services may be subject to the separate policies, terms of use, and fees of such third parties.
Updates. In order to keep the Fish Pass Software up-to-date, we may offer automatic or manual updates at any time and without notice to you.
